Happy Fourth of July

I love the Fourth of July. We went out to Stansbury on Thursday night and got up bright and early to go run the Freedom 5K in Tooele. It was a way fun race. We ran with Ava in the stroller, it was a lot of fun! My mom took first place in her age group (anyone suprised?)she finished in like 22 minutes and my bro-in-law Adam took 2nd in his age group and he finished in like 20 minutes. That is incredible to me! Anyway, we then went back to my mom and dad's house and played in the lake and had a little BBQ and then we went to the fireworks in Grantsville. We were a little worried that Ava would not like the fireworks but she did really well, she just laid her head on my arm for the first couple minutes and watched the fireworks and then played with a glow-stick the rest of the time. It was a lot of fun!!!

Matt looks like he had a little too much watermelon or something :)

These are those swimsuits that have the floaty things sewn into them, it made her look even chunkier, it was pretty funny!

Time for a bath!Matt is working a grave shift tonight and sometimes he gets a chance to check the blog, so if you do, I love and miss you and these pictures are for you...Daddy's little girl!!!

This is how she fell asleep the other night (finally). I thought it was really cute! Kami put a quote on her blog once "There never was a child so lovely but [her] mother was glad to get [her] to sleep." Ralph Waldo Emerson.

Wow Jen! You look great in your swim suit. It must be all the running you're doing. I'm gonna have to take that up. Oh geez, I couldn't even type that with a straight face. . .

Wait, I just reread that, I meant I couldn't type the second part with a straight face, about me running-- you got that, right? Not the swim suit part, because that I really meant! Hmm, is there a way to delete these comments?

Great job running. I agree with Kami, I don't think I could run either, so kudos to you! (Kami, I knew what you meant if it makes you feel any better). I love the picture of how Ava fell asleep! So funny! Kids are great!

Jen, you are super women, so I bet you finished first. ha ha Anyway it looks like you guys are having tons of fun. As for the BYU game, how about October 11th. That game is against New Mexico, and Kim'r, Steve and Kash can come as well. Talk to Matt and see what you guys can do. Mike and i can get tickets and then everyone can pay us back. Anyway if you can just text we and let me know. Love you tons. Can't wait to see ya!!
