So, Ava has just been so funny lately, and I wanted to remember these things that just make me laugh, and since I don't keep a journal so well, I thought this was the next best place... :)
So, in our new place, our room is upstairs and Ava's room is downstairs, so we have the baby monitor in our room so we can hear her. Well, the other morning, we woke up at 6 am to our little girl growling...it started kind of small, like Raaar, raar, and turned to full strength rrrraaaaahhhhrrrr. After about two minutes, she stopped and must have fallen asleep cuz we didn't hear from her again until 8. It was super funny!
Again with the roaring, we went to a story time at the library for toddlers, it was really fun and Ava loved it. Afterwards, these two little girls about Ava's age were playing and she wanted to play with them, so I told her to go say hi, so she crawled over to the one little girl (she was also crawling around, so they were eye to eye) and she goes, raaahhhhrrr. My child has awesome social skills. The little girl just kinda stared at her, and I had to explain that she should say Hi, not roar at her.
Today, I was sitting on the couch holding her while we watched Mickey Mouse, and I started giving her kisses on the back of her head and she suddenly turns around and says, "No eat my hair mom!"
I was being super lazy and laying on the couch and Ava was laying all cozy on the couch with me and she wanted one of her puppies that was on the floor, but she couldn't reach it, so she asked me to get it, and I said, look I can't reach it either, and she looks at me for a minute and says, "Get up, momma, off the couch and get it"
Ava was playing in her room the other day, and she kept closing the door, so of course I kept checking on her, and I had asked her to not play with these lotion bottles that are in her room, so she says "okay, bye mom, love you" and shuts the door, so a couple minutes later, I open the door and she has one of the bottles in her hand, she hurries and puts it down and says, "I wasn't" and I said "You weren't?" and she says, "I weren't!"
She always wants to wear dresses and she becomes a "beautiful princess", so we were at dinner and she was wearing a skirt so she tells Matt, "I'm beautiful!" and Matt says "Yes, you are, is mommy beautiful?" And she looks under the table and sees that I'm wearing pants and says "No, momma not beautiful!" However, I came downstairs the other morning in my pink robe and THAT qualified me as a beautiful princess!
She makes me laugh every day! I just love her! She has adapted quite well to all the change. She's gone to nursery every week, with no problems. Last week she was a little shy when we walked in, but all it took was the teacher telling her she had a pretty dress and as soon as she was able to show off her beautiful princess dress, she was good to go. She told me today she wanted to be a princess and go to church!
I have some pictures I need to post, but I don't have my camera near, so that will have to wait until next time.
