Later that night, we had the big Birthday Bash. Matt's parents made the trek from Heber, and Ben and Tania came from Provo, and my Grandma and Grandpa Desmond were able to make it as well as my family. It was quite the little party. I made her a Care Bear cake that she dug right in to and the kids had cupcakes and ice cream cups and the adults had ice cream cake. She got tons of toys and fun presents! Then she partied late into the night playing with all her fun toys and living off her sugar high.

I love the pictures of Ava with her cake, Jen. I wish my kids were as interested in their cake and ice cream as Ava. Both Marissa and Derek didn't like the feeling of the frosting on their fingers or the ice cream in their mouths. Two year old birthdays are a little more fun for us at our house.

I have been checking your blog for awhile now so i am finally announcing myself and saying that your little Ava is so cute, and congrats on your marathon. We actually got to see Ava forever ago at the visitors center in St. george when we ran into Jessica and Chris and she is so fun!
