For Matt...

This will probably bore most of you, or make you want to throw up a little, so you don't have to read it if you don't want, but I just wanted to tell my wonderful husband just how wonderful he is!! I never did an official post, but we celebrated our 4th Anniversary in March, what an amazing four years! I can't imagine life without him, and I better not ever have to! Matt had a close call a few weeks ago, he was coming home from work and got in an accident. It sounds cliche to say it's a miracle he's alive, but that's the only way to put it. At the very least the car should have been totaled and he came away without a scratch on him. Talk about putting things into perspective for you. All I needed was less than a glimpse of not having him and suddenly it wasn't that important that he didn't put his clothes in the hamper. He is what makes up my happily ever after!

I went to Women's Conference a week or so ago and during one of the classes, the lady was talking about her husband and how they had been married for like 30 years or something and she said, "We still laugh more than we fight." Isn't that a wonderful way to put things into perspective? I loved that, cuz I think you're kidding yourself if you don't think you're ever going to have an argument every now and then with someone that you are constantly with, who sees you at your best and your worst, but I think the important thing is that the laughing is happening more often than the arguments. So, thank you Matt for making me laugh so much, so often, and so hard!

Matt just took the GRE and got way better than he had hoped for, which puts him right on track for applying for Anesthestist Schools. He always gets so worried that he's not going to do well on these big tests and he always passes with flying colors. I'm so proud of him for following his dreams and sticking in there when things get tough! He has such amazing determination and persistence! I know that he can do anything he sets his mind to. (Okay, go ahead and throw up a little here, then you can keep reading...)

He is also such a great Father. I never imagined the amount of love I have for our little girl, and I always knew Matt would be a great Dad, but I never imagined he would be so amazing. The love and concern he has for her is just incredible and it's so obvious that he would literally do anything he could just to make her happy! I honestly don't know if his heart can take more kids, he is so protective of her in that cute Daddy kind of way.

So, I'm not only thankful for my amazing husband and the wonderful Father he is, but I'm so thankful that he had such amazing parents that taught him by word and by example how to be a great husband and father.

Sorry for the super cheesy post but I have just been feeling so blessed, so it might come across as bragging but I'm really just so grateful for such a wonderful life!!

I'm glad that everything came out well. your comments did make you realize about the small things that really are not worth the arguments.
