Gotta send my love down to Baton Rouge (or Asheville)

So...Matt is in Asheville, North Carolina right now. He left on Monday and flew to Connecticut, interviewed at Fairfield University and then flew to North Carolina and he'll interview at Western Carolina University on Friday and then fly home. (He's trying to get in to the Nurse Anesthesia program) I miss him alot and so does Ava and I know he misses her too, so this one's for you sweetheart.

To everyone else, I know I haven't posted in a while, you can pretty much chalk that up to pure laziness and the fact that I get online and have way more fun checking everyone else's blog than I do adding to mine. So, here's an overload of pictures catching up my last month or so.... Caution, may contain really cute nudity! (I love baby bums :)

So, Ava decided to try and make a getaway in the middle of a diaper change and I figured a few good blackmail pictures for years down the road never hurts :)


We were making something with Chocolate pudding and we had some extra so Matt gave Ava a bowlful and we were just talking, not really paying attention and then Matt turned around to ask Ava if she liked it and this is what we found. The pudding on her nose is because she was trying to lick it out of the bowl.

These are Matt's buddies from the Nursing program at SUU, the one holding the cake was heading to Georgia to PT school, so we made him a cake and put an awesome replica of a walker on it. This was a last hurrah with the guys! Hope you're having fun Bob!

Matt and I were able to make a getaway toward the end of June. We left Ava with my mom and dad and we headed to sunny San Diego. It was so wonderful! This is a picture from the balcony of our hotel, you can't see it cuz of the light but you could see the ocean from our balcony, it was SO beautiful and relaxing!!!

The first day we got there, we went straight to the beach with boogie boards and we both got burnt pretty bad, but Matt got it worse than me, so the next day, I headed to the beach with my boogie board and Matt headed to the beach with a shade umbrella and Harry Potter. It was pretty funny, seeing him try to avoid the sun like the plague, and we were peeling for a month after we got home!



We were in La Jolla and there were all these random colored cows lining the street, so for you Dodge Ball fans, this is me "grabbing the bull by the horns"

And this is Matt grabbing the bull by the...well, anyway...just kidding!


I didn't plan my dates very well, so I got back from mine and Matt's vacation and two days later headed to Girls Camp with our ward. So, I had to then drop Ava off at Matt's parents house and I missed her SO much. It ended up raining NONSTOP for three days so we called it early and came home. As I was doing my laundry, Ava started helping me fold it, again with the fashion sense, I really don't know where she gets it :)


This is my family at the Freedom 5K on the Fourth of July in Tooele. My mom and dad, my bro-in-law Mike and his two kids and me and Ava all ran it. It's such a fun race, I love running it. Matt has run it with me every year since we got married but he had to work a grave shift the night before so he wasn't able to this time.
Ava has had some great times playing with her friends lately. This is her with her cousin Maddie and her friend Lainey. I love watching her play with other kids (when she's being nice of course)

Another one of those blackmail pictures...We found out recently that one of my old roommates is having some health problems so we were able to go visit her. This is Ava playing with the kiddos after some good hard playing outside in the pool and mud!
And this is just funny! You have Rexdon fleeing for his life while the girls take over the tub! Hahaha
After the girls took over the tub, Ava was getting a kick out of splashing by jumping in the tub, it's not something I usually condone but it was just too funny!

This is Maddie pushing Ava in the car. Okay, seriously, Maddie has some serious strength and speed. We recently had our Rigby Reunion (my camera died so I need to get the pictures from Ess) but she would push Ava in the stroller down this hill and I could barely keep up with her and then when it was her turn to be pushed, Ava could barely push it without my help. I kept trying to tell her that Ava got the better ride, but I guess she didn't care :)


So, in a nutshell, that's our last month and a half, and a good fill of pictures for Matt while he's away!
